Hey Y'all,
Personally, 2016 has been a year of Bollywood, thanks to my siblings. Almost every movie released had one or more hit songs. But, not all of us are hindi fans, and sometimes, some songs, no matter how nice, just go unnoticed.
So this is a tribute to all the amazing songs of 2016. Inspired by the recent article on filtercopy.com, with the best 12.

Here is the first part of 20+ Romance songs of Bollywood 2016 list , just in case you missed it.
(Selecting the best out of the lot is a difficult task, it differs from person to person. Hence, this list is numbered based on the release date.)
01. Tere Bin - Wazir
| Penned by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Music Composed by: Shanthanu Moitra Sung By: Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal Starring: Farhan Aktar and Aditi Rao Throwback to the beginning of January, with an amazing song, everyone, young and old loved it. A very classical tune, with a Ghazal like feel. It's quite hard to explain why we love it, but we do. Also, the mp3 is the best, cause the audio is a bit fast in the video.

02. Soch Na Sake - Airlift

Okay, spoilers first, Amaal Malik and Arijith Singh are THE stars of the year.
Again, starting off the year with a 'Oh my god' feel song by Arijith, I mean, it's him, even if he starts off with just one word, Girls and Boys, would be drooling before listening to the entire song.
And Amaal, the big cute brother of Armaan, has anyone seen him? NO? It's high time you divert your attention to this man, he is gonna make it bigger in the industry, with his music and well, LOOKs.
Back to the song, the first bits sound like it's gonna be a sad song, don't stop, listen to it, there, you are in love, and you are even closing your eyes.
Lyrics wise, it just keeps telling that I love You so much, in different ways. I'm still figuring out which lyric to quote. Read the full lyrics with the English meaning here.

The title track is like being high, intoxicated by love, so much love, her tears make sense. and Tera Chehra, the same,even though the tune is sad like, the lyrics and underlying meaning the same.
(Darn, Arijith again, sometimes I wish I let my sister write this post, being the Bollywood and Arijith fanatic.)

February has been a month for the 2 best albums, and the second you listen to Sanam Re, two things come in mind,
1. That It's music for the soul
2. The need to pack your bag and go to the hillside, or take a road trip.
Even though the movie didn't do well, this song was loved by everyone, and you don't have to be in a particular mood to listen to this. 2016 list will never be complete without Sanam Re. This is more like the Tum Hi Ho of this year. And Arijit again, So.....

06. Bolna - Kapoor & Sons
| Penned by: Dr. Devender Kafir Music Composed by: Tanishk Bagchi Sung By: Arijit Singh, Asees Kaur Starring: Fawad Khan, Siddharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt A Song with a South Indian folk melody feel, a lot similar to the ARR classic, Innum Konjam Neram from Mariyaan, but despite the similarities, it's a fan favourite.
"Tere sang hansna main, tere sang rona, tujh mein hi rehna main, tujh mein hi khona"
(I want to laugh with you, and cry with you, I want to live in you, and get lost in you only...)

Another not so bad movie, but hey, the songs, all of them a super hit, Sab tera 'cause of the lyrics, Phuket, Armaan, and Shraddhas perfect for the song voice.
You may want to plan your next getaway to Thailand. Turquoise Blue Seas, White Sand, Why not?

Not a lot of people know this song, unless you've watched the movie, it's a very cute, green song that gives the proper countryside, sunset and rain feel. So many tingles and Kerala in one song.

09. Agar Tu Hota - Baaghi

Idk if it really falls into the Romantic category, it's more like the break up song, but when you look into, it does talk about love, plus it's beautiful. Ankit Tiwaris voice, pierces your heart, and takes a chunk out.
Major Plus Point? The Scene where Shraddha cries, so real, you actually feel like crying even if you are single.
